I am a sociologist and lecturer in Computational Social Science at the University of Amsterdam, where I have been based since 2022. I completed my PhD at the University of Essex, where my research focused on various aspects of public understanding of science, including trust in scientists and disparities in scientific literacy. Before moving to Amsterdam, I held a lectureship in social data analysis at the University of Exeter. My research interests centre on how the public perceives and engages with science, alongside related questions about the spread of conspiracy narratives and misinformation, and the social dynamics of knowledge and trust.

Most of my current work is focused on developing the curriculum and teaching at the Computational Social Science BSc at UvA, which takes a transdisciplinary approach and is built around real-world partnerships and societal impact. The development of didactical approaches for transdisciplinary education and, more generally, the revision of the social science education approaches in light of AI — these are the challenges I find interesting and fulfilling to work on.

This website brings together my CV, publications, and further information about my teaching and research.
